Beautiful Auberge du Soleil Resort was the perfect spot to celebrate the Holidays with our IW&FS friends.
We started the evening with a Sparking Wine reception and passed Hors d’Oeuvres: Arancini, House Mozzarella, Pesto; Ahi Tuna Tartare, Wasabi Tobiko, Japanese Cucumber; and Duck Rillette, Whole Grain Mustard, Cornichon, Crouton.
This was followed by a wonderful four-course dinner.
First course: Day boat Scallop, Sweet Potatoes, Brussels Sprouts, Pomegranate.
Second course: Sunchoke Soup, Almonds, Curry Oil, Chervil.
Entrée: Choice of Lamb Ribeye, Roasted Cauliflower, Medjool Dates, Pistachios, Red Curry
or Sauteed Grouper, Lentils du Puy, Ginger, Spinach, Orange Emulsion.
Dessert: Valrhona Illanka Mousse Torte, Tarragon Custard, Olive Oil Cake, Toasted Baguette Ice Cream.
And finally, dancing to music provided by our DJ Jason Ruderman.
Congratulations to our Immediate Past President George Rnjak who was awarded the Board of Directors of the Americas (BDA) and the International Wine & Food Society (IWFS) of the Americas Gold Medal. The Gold Medal was awarded to Mr. Rnjak by Mike Donohoe, BDA Chairman and Jose Garrigo, BDA Chairman Awards Committee.
