It was a beautiful winter evening in Napa on Saturday, February 11 as members convened at renowned Cordiero’s Steakhouse with their sweethearts to celebrate Valentines’ day.
The restaurant’s romantic private dining room is a wonderful setting with a large fire place and ambiance perfect for Valentines’ day. It was beautifully decorated by members Claude Anyos and Deborah Robertson with favors and red roses for the ladies.
Our evening began with a reception featuring brick oven Duck Confit Flat Breads and Fried Calamari with Spicy Tomato Sauce served with member and owner Paul Maroon’s 2014 Maroon Vineyard Reserve Chardonnay and 2010 Mumm DVX Sparkling wine.
Dinner followed beginning with a Classic Caesar Salad with Anchovy, Parmesan and Croutons paired with 2014 Maroon Reserve Chardonnay. Our entree was a choice of mesquite grilled prime Angus Beef Filet Mignon with Potato Gratin, Seasonal Vegetables and Brandy Green Peppercorn Sauce or Wild Pacific Salmon with Red Rice, Seasonal Vegetables and Ravigote Sauce; Paired with 2014 Etude Fiddlestix Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir and 2005 Whitehall Lane Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. And finally for dessert New York Cheesecake.
The evenings festivities were arranged by board member Tom Anyos and was a truly wonderful celebration of Valentines‘ day that was enjoyed by all.
